Spring is almost here and that means weekend getaways, spring break extravaganzas, and easy staycations. Staying comfortable and stylish when traveling can be a challenge, we’ve got you covered on looking chic and feeling comfy while you’re jet setting.
1. Stay Hydrated
Bring a bottle of water to beat the bloat and swelling that air travel or sitting for long periods of time can bring. Dehydration = discomfort.
2. Dress in Relaxed Silhouettes
You don’t have to wear pajama pants to feel comfy while you’re traveling. Leggings and a tunic or a relaxed pair of jeans with a bit of stretch and a soft tee and cardigan will always look chic without making you uncomfortable.
3. Get Organized
Make sure you plan beforehand to have all you need to eliminate any bumps in the road (pun intended!). Passports, medications, insurance info and travel documents should all be easily accessible.
4. Wear Comfortable Shoes
If you’re running through the airport or taking a quick walk at a rest stop, you want your feet to feel good. Wear your favorite pair to feel good on-the-go.
5. Accessorize Properly
It pays to pack a stylish scarf to use as a blanket or pillow in a pinch and wear as an accessory on your trip. Add a pair of great sunglasses and you’re set!
6. Bring Snacks
Part of traveling well is eating well. Don’t get stuck eating airline pretzels on a 6 hour flight. Pack some healthy snacks (nuts, fresh fruit, granola bars) to keep your hunger at bay.
7. Make a Playlist
Whether you want to hear upbeat, happy tunes or relaxing mood music, plan ahead and get your playlist set.
8. Hatch a Plan
Having a plan can make you feel more relaxed and prepared for your journey. It doesn’t have to be an hour-by-hour itinerary, but a general idea of the who/what/where/when/how will better prep you to relax.
9. Have Fun
This is the most important travel tip of all – enjoy the journey! Many of the memories made are the travel stories themselves. Don’t take yourself too seriously and relax and enjoy the ride!
