In Her Shoes: Mary of Sportsanista

Mary, style maven of the blog Sportsanista, is a self-admitted “thirty-something fashion fiend” with a love for both fashion and sports; she has been blogging since 2011 and calls Chicago home. Recently she took a trip to San Fran and sported the Praline espadrille wedge for a little wine tasting – see her look and a few of her answers to our questions below.

Who or what is your fashion inspiration? Mira Duma is a fashion icon – she is a trendsetter of our generation. I love following her on social media and trying to emulate her looks with things I own.

What style rule is made to be broken (and why)? Rule: No white after labor day. White is such a clean / crisp color that we should never limit it to three months out of the year. I much prefer to wear whites in the winter to break-up all the black I wear!

Name 3 things you cannot live without: Mascara, a good pair of distressed denim pants and a white collared boyfriend button-up.

Favorite vacation spot? Paris! I love the romance, the lights, the history and the charming streets. The city and its neighborhoods are rich with culture, food and fashion – my kind of town!

Who is the most influential woman in your life? My mother – she has taught me to be the strong, poised women I am today. She has bestowed her fashion knowledge on me and has always served as my inspiration.
love this outfit super cute white and denim look love the shoes

What do you think of Mary’s cute wine tasting weekend outfit?
