Healthy Habits: Fruit-Infused Iced Tea

Few drinks taste as refreshing as ice cold tea on a hot day, but this classic afternoon treat is long overdue for an update. Unsweetened, it can be boring, and the sugar-soaked version is a health no-no! Determined to fix this summer conundrum, the Naturalizer team recently experimented at our local farmers market to create a fruity infusion that will transform the basic iced beverage. And since every special occasion deserves a new pair of shoes, we taste-tested our delicious new recipe below while wearing the Faith sandal crafted from saddle tan leather–a rich, warm hue that perfectly matches a glass of golden iced tea. FRUIT-INFUSED ICED TEA
1/2 gallon water
8 bags classic black tea
10 large peaches, peeled and sliced
1/2 cup brown sugar
4 stalks rosemary
12 cups cold water

Heat 1/2 gallon of water on stove and place tea bags in pot. Let bags steep for 10 minutes. Set aside. Cook peaches and brown sugar over medium heat until peaches have thoroughly softened. Puree peach mixture, then strain directly into tea. Add rosemary and cold water and refrigerate until ready to serve. Pour over ice and enjoy immediately. This recipe can be replicated with berries, kiwis, and other soft fruits!
